Here's what's being crammed down our throat...

For most Americans, the health reform bill that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is pushing to pass will be worse than coal in their stockings. Herewith, the Top 10 List of Things You Don't Want From Health Care Reform This Christmas — But Will Get Anyway From Congress.

1. Higher premiums: If you pay for your own insurance, your premiums will cost 10% to 13% more than if the bill didn't pass, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Insurance won't be more affordable. Sixty percent of the newly insured are being enrolled in Medicaid, the public program for the poor.

2. A cost you can't afford and can't avoid: Though moderate-income families will get subsidies, buying insurance is mandatory. A family earning $54,000 will be expected to pay $9,000 (17% of pre-tax income) for the premium, co-pays and deductibles, according to the CBO. If you don't enroll, the IRS will find you and penalize you (Senate bill, p. 345).

3. A one-size-fits-all health plan: Your benefit package will be prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Whether you choose basic, silver or gold, and whether you pay for it yourself or qualify for a subsidy, your benefits are the same.

Gold plans simply collect more up front and give you a lower co-pay or deductible. It's unclear how possible it will be to buy supplemental insurance. The goal is to discourage health consumption and differences based on ability to pay.

4. A sin tax on your generous plan at work: This is another equalizer to discourage some people from getting more than others. The Senate bill puts a 40% tax on Cadillac plans (p. 1,980). About one-fifth of employer-provided plans fall into that "luxury" category. The CBO predicts that employers will downgrade your coverage to avoid the tax or reduce your take home pay.

5. Government controls on your doctors' decisions: The Senate bill bars doctors from participating in the private insurance system unless they implement whatever regulations the secretary of health and human services chooses to impose to "improve health care quality" (p. 149). That broad phrase encompasses everything in medicine.

This would be the first time in history that the federal government is given power over how doctors treat privately insured patients

6. Hospitals closed to seniors: The House and Senate bills slash payments to hospitals and other institutions that care for seniors. The chief actuary for Medicare, Richard Foster, warns that cuts in the House bill are so severe that some institutions may face severe losses or end their participation in Medicare (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 11/13/09 report). Some seniors won't know where to go.

7. Bare-bones hospital care: Patients of all ages (and all incomes) will suffer when hospitals are in financial distress. Hospital budget cuts will mean shortages of nurses, equipment and cleaning staff. The president's chief health advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, argues that hospitals in the U.S. offer more privacy and comfort than hospitals in Europe, and this "abundance of amenities" drives up costs (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008).

8. Future Medicare cuts: Look out baby boomers, the Senate bill establishes an Independent Medicare Advisory Commission to make automatic spending reductions in future years while insulating Congress from the political fallout. You won't get as much care as people in Medicare currently get.

9. A new social agenda: Money is allocated for adult preparation activities, including lessons on positive self-esteem and relationship dynamics, friendships, dating (and) romantic involvement (Senate bill, p.612). There are also giveaways to immigrants. The Senate bill hands low-income legal immigrants government subsidies as soon as they get here, instead of waiting the five years Medicaid requires (Senate bill, p. 274).

10. A tell-all relationship with every doctor you see: What happens in your doctor's office must be recorded in an electronic data base that can send the information to insurers and other medical offices (Senate bill, p. 62-66). Every doctor you see will have access to your medical history. See a psychiatrist? Your foot doctor will know about it.

These congressional tidings bring no comfort or joy. We must save ourselves from Congress' power now that it has gone astray.

Hmmmm...

Have you wondered why Barack Hussein Obama has insisted that the U.S. Attorney General hold the trials for the 911 Murdering Muslims Terrorists in Civilian Courts as Common Criminals instead of as Terrorists who attacked the United States of America? Something to think about:

If the Muslim Terrorists are tried in Military Tribunals, convicted, and sentenced to DEATH by the Military Tribunal, BY LAW of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, as President of the United States, would be required to SIGN their Death Warrants before they could be EXECUTED. He would not be required to sign the death warrants if sentenced to death by a Civilian Court.

Think about the Muslim Jihadist, Major Hassan who slaughtered his fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood, Texas. Major Hassan did not want to go toAfghanistan and be a part of anything that could lead to the deaths of fellow Muslims. He stated that Muslims could not and should not KILL FELLOW MUSLIMS.

Is the motive for Barack Hussein Obama's decision to make sure he doesn't have to sign the death warrants for the Muslim Terrorists? Why would he, as President of the United States, not want to sign the death warrants for Muslim Terrorists who attacked the United States and MURDERED over 3,000 innocent United States Citizens on 911? Could it be that he is FORBIDDEN BY HIS RELIGION to have anything to do with the execution of Muslims?

You know that our Coward-in-Chief would never approve a unit like this one...they would come after HIM!

The Pentagon announced TODAY the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces (USRSF)

These boys will be dropped off in Afghanistan and have been given only the following facts about terrorists:

1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don't like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
5. They are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt .

The Pentagon expects the problem in Afghanistan to be over by Friday.

From the Canadian Free Press

I have reprinted an article by author David Rushton. It is rather lengthy for a blog entry, but it is well worth the read. This guy nails Islam for what it is and says it better than I could...Read on...

I have long been mystified as to why Americans and Canadians do not
understand Islam. It is very simple. While most Christians and Jews pay only
lip service to their bibles the Muslims believe in the koran with every part
of their being. They rise before dawn to pray and they pray five times a
day. They mean business in their worship of the false god allah.
They believe in every verse of the koran and the Hadith. But Americns have
never read the koran so they are socked by such carnage as was caused at
Fort Hood.
So let me quote just a few verses from the koran. Are you ready?
Infidels (unbelievers) are the Muslim's undoubted enemies (Sura 4:101).
This ideal is instilled in the minds and hearts of Muslim children by their
mothers. Muslims are to besiege them and lie in ambush everywhere" for them.
(Sura 9:5) That's us they are to besiege because we do not believe in and
follow the teachings of Mohammed.
Seize them and put them to death wherever you find them, kill them wherever
you find them, seek out the enemies of Islam relentlessly" (Sura 4:90)
I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above
their necks and smite all their finger tips of them. (Koran 8:12)
Take not Jews and Christians for friends. They are friends to one another.
He who takes them for friends is one of them." (Sura 5:51)
Believers, make war on the infidels who are your neighbors and let them find
you rigorous. (Sura 9:123).
Allah loves those who "fight for his cause" (Sura 61:3).
If a Muslim does not go to war, Allah will punish him. (Sura 9:39)
Muslims are to be "ruthless to unbelievers but love Muslims (Sura 48:29).
Kill any person you wish if it be a "just cause." (Sura 6:152)
''I have been ordered to fight with people till they say, none has the right
to be worshipped but allah '' (Hadith 4:196)
Mohammed also said, Know that paradise is under the shade of the swords.''
(Hadith vol. 4:73)
On July 4th 2002 a Muslim taxi driver in Los Angeles shot to death two
people at the El Al terminal in LAX and three more were wounded. For weeks
thereafter Psychologists and Psychiatrists wondered why this apparently
peaceful man had killed these people. But the answer was very clearly pinned
to his front door that morning. A note on the door said simply "Read the
Koran."
A few years earlier a Muslim soldier Hassan Akbar in Kuwait hurled a grenade
into a tent full of American Soldiers. Two officers were killed and 14
injured. Everybody wondered what prompted him to do it. Simple, he had been
reading the Koran and he believed those soldiers were his enemies.
So why waste time trying to discover what prompted Major Nidal Malik to open
fire at Fort Hood. He was a Muslim and he believed in the koran. The only
mystery to me is why the army would allow any Muslim to be a member. The
koran clearly states Infidels (unbelievers) are the Muslim's undoubted
enemies. Yes, we Christians and Jews are their enemies. We did not say that,
they did.
Is it not enough to remember how many Jews have been killed in Israel by
Muslims who boarded their buses and entered their restaurants with bombs?
Why is it so hard for our leaders to understand that Muslims are determined
to kill unbelievers and take over their countries for their fictitious god
allah.
I do not hate the Muslims. In fact I believe they are to be pitied because
they are first victims of this terrible cult of war and hatred. I do not
suggest that we should start killing Muslims. I do think they need to be
controlled in every situation and never given opportunity to serve in our
armed forces or police. They consider us their enemies and feel it is their
duty to kill anyone who does not bow the knee to allah By the way I have
deliberately used lower case for allah, and koran because neither is worthy
of capitalization.
I wish that this horrific incident would bring Americans and Canadians back
to God. What will it take? Another 9-11? No that didn't do it either. I
don't know what will. God is never mentioned anymore in our politically
correct system because our leaders are afraid of offending those who believe
in allah. Yet Muslims shout Allahu Akbar!" Meaning "Our god is greater than
your God." Well I have news for you. Not only is no God greater than our
God, but in fact there is no other God but our God. So let's stand up and
fight for Him.

Our "Muslim-in-Chief" has done it again...

HB 1388 PASSED

He slid this one in under the radar...this happened at the beginning of this year and I haven't even heard about it.

Something happened.... H.R. 1388 was passed, behind our backs. You may want to read about it.. It wasn' t mentioned on the news... just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.

Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA . This is the news that didn' t make the headlines...

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza .

The "presidential determination", which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States , was signed and appears in the Federal Register.

Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Let's review....itemized list of some of Barack Obama ' s most recent actions since his inauguration:

* His first call to any head of state, as president, was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.

* His first one-on-one television interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.

* His first executive order was to fund/facilitate abortion(s) not just here within the U. S. , but within the world, using U. S. tax payer funds.

* He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.

* He ordered overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.

* He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and the "terror attack" on 9/11.

Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.

These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.
Doubtful?

This guy is such an idiot.

I actually had this blog deleted for a while because I just wasn't into it any more. The political landscape sure isn't improving and quite frankly, I was just getting more discouraged writing about it. I have been encouraged by friends of mine who enjoy reading this blog to get back into it, so here it is and I'll try my best to keep up. Thanks for the encouragement.

This isn't the first time I've heard about these training camps. There is more and more evidence that they are operating in some of the remote western states.

Every time I hear about a young person wanting to be a police officer I ask them to decide ahead of time what they will do when the government orders them to set the constitution aside and enforce the marshall law that is coming. They will either follow orders or be shot in the back. Make no mistake, this IS coming and we need to be ready. If you have thought about arming yourself, you had better do it now while you still can.

Difference Between Liberals and Conservatives

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, they don’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, then no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, they don’t eat meat. If a liberal is,
they want to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat
his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look
good.

If a conservative is homosexual, they quietly enjoy their life. If a liberal is homosexual, they loudly demand legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as
independently successful.

If a black man or Hispanic is liberal, they see themselves as victims
in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his
situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church. A liberal
wants any mention of God or religion silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping
for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his

The Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama. The stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the president, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and $217.3 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings: The stamp is in perfect order. There is nothing wrong with the adhesive. People were spitting on the wrong side.

Note From a Cop

The fear on the street is palpable. Ever since the election of Barack Obama as President of these United States in November 2008, coupled with the election of a democrat party majority in both the U..S. House and Senate, concern for the United States and personal safety has ignited like a fire in dry grass.

Sales of guns – black guns, rifles, shotguns and handguns (particularly 9mm) everywhere, have gone through the roof. AR15s have literally flown off of dealer shelves, and only now in the spring of 2009, have I seen the display samples of ARs begin to reappear on the wall of my favorite shooting emporium after the initial post election rush.

Manufacturers of ARs are still working to catch up and some of the major suppliers are as much as 150,000 guns behind. Not only that, ammo is in the shortest supply I have ever seen in the 43 years of my shooting life. Have you recently tried to get 5.56mm, 9mm or even 380 ammo?

Supplies of 5.56mm and 9mm ammo are in short supply due to the black gun buying craze; .380ACP because of the rise in people getting concealed carry permits and the resurgence of interest in convenient 380 handguns like the fine Ruger LCP. In fact, in doing a review of the Ruger LCP, my gun store only had a small supply of ONE ..380 round on hand, the Winchesters 95-grain SXT, which they had just gotten in. Unfortunately, I had to do a 30-round review of that pistol. There was none other to be found.

What is odd about this new fear is that it is not coming from the average citizen gun owner out there, but it is coming from what to me is an almost shocking source: street cops.

Street cops and SWAT cops that I know from various agencies – rural, suburban and metro – in my area are scared. Cops that before November 2008 never gave much thought (that I knew of anyway) to politics or more
importantly to gun rights. For the most part, these are the guys that didn’t generally have any interest in shooting or gun ownership beyond keeping track of where their duty gun is, and a few of them didn’t even do that so well.

The guys I am talking about now are some of the same guys who used to not even carry off duty on a regular basis- but not anymore. They don’t scare easily, defenders of the Constitution of this State and the United States (as our oath of office reads), have been buying ARs, survival gear, and all the ammo they can lay their hands on. All of them (or I should say “us”) have been discussing and have been acquiring guns to provide a layered perimeter defense.

What are we suddenly so afraid of? Well in our discussions it seems to boil down to four areas.

First, fear of federal government intrusion into our lives. Every time I look at or listen to the news, there is something new and intrusive coming out of the Obama administration and this Congress. New tax schemes, government-run Canadian-style healthcare, a volunteer citizen defense force (whatever that is, what happened to the National Guard?) equipped with funding similar to our military, forced voluntary “service” after retirement, a lack of a southern border with hordes of illegal and criminal aliens pouring over our border, the swine flu scare as well as government forced closing of thousands of privately held Chrysler and GM dealerships, which will be the final nail in the coffin for these companies and the list goes on and on.

But these items in the news are just the tip of the iceberg. We can’t see the full impact of these actions yet, but we don’t know what was added into the thousand of pages of stimulus package bills in the dead of night yet. I predict however that when the plans contained in the stimulus packages go into effect, a lot of us are going to be surprised if not shocked by what has suddenly and sweepingly changed.

What also scares us is the second, well-founded fear that there is an assault weapons ban looming, one that would make the Clinton Ban appear like a look of disdain in comparison. I remember well the 1990s and the Clinton years: the rise of militia groups, the “black helicopter” rumors and paranoia, all of which was motivated by the Brady Law and the Assault Weapon’s ban. What if a new ban comes requiring registration or confiscation and turn-in of banned weapons as what happened in Australia?

…I foresee much civil disobedience coming down the road. Americans are citizens, and not subjects like the British, Canadians or Australians. They just don’t always obey the law blindly and not one officer or citizen that I spoke to said anything like “I hope I get to keep this gun for awhile before they are banned; They are fun to shoot, so I would hate to give it up.” It isn’t going to happen, so the cop on the street and the soldier on the base needs to think now what he will do if the orders come down. I think you all get what I am saying here.
(Very interesting to think about...ti)

Which leads me to the third fear, that there is a revolution coming, yes, a revolution on the scale of the original American Revolution. You can hear this topic discussed on many of the talk radio shows by even the big name hosts. The possibility of an armed revolution against the U.S. government being discussed, albeit very gingerly and fleetingly and as something to be avoided, which it is. I never heard this mentioned in the 90s. One of my quietest, low profile officer friends brought it up the other day.

He said that at some point in the near future, he felt there is going to be an armed revolt if things keep going the way they are. Something has got to give. I was shocked. Yes, I had heard this from some of my more radical
cop friends in the past, but to hear it from a guy like this was unprecedented. Now, these guys are not saying this will happen to foment revolution, preach sedition or to even participate. They just want to be ready if it happens, to at least defend their families, because number four on the fear list is general societal chaos.

Cops fear for their parents, wives, children or grandchildren more now than ever before. Most cops are encouraging their spouses and loved ones to get concealed carry permits. Not only that, but some of these same cops are buying gun mounts for their personal cars so they can carry an AR in the family ride at the ready all the time. They are also strapping on heavier forms of off-duty hardware. I have other friends that are issued ARs or subguns for tactical team use, who always have their gear with them and are planning on just commandeering these weapons for personal use in defending hearth and home.

Final Notes

This is pretty heady and maybe even dangerous stuff. Know fully that I am not advocating anything here. I am reflecting to you what I see and hear going on around me, and maybe saying things that haven’t been said in the open, until now. It is something to think about.

Divorce agreement...

A buddy of mine with the state department sent this to me...
You got to love this one.... Tell me where to sign

I have no idea who wrote it, but I wish it would have been me.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement.

After that, it should be relatively easy!

Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.

You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU, and abortion clinics. Since you hate guns and war,

We'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell...

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations,

pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys,

hippies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms and rednecks.

We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

You can have the peaceniks, and war protesters.

When our allies or our way of life are under assault,

we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McLaine.

You can also have the U.N.,

but we will NO LONGER be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars.

You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem.

I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickledown economics and

you can give trickle up poverty your best shot.

Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this?

If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete.

In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Signed,
A Conservative Patriot

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand and Jane Fonda with you

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Body Found In Salt River

THIS JUST IN!!!

Champaign County Sheriffs Department reports finding a man's body in the Salt Fork river just west of the Kelly's Tavern Historical Site Bridge.

The man's name will not be released until his family has been notified. The victim apparently drowned after consuming an excessive amount of alcohol.

He was wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt with matching bra, and an Obama T-shirt.

The deputy removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.

Why does ANYBODY think that this guy has ANY credibility???

The Big Lie: "First of all, nobody is talking about some government takeover of health care. I'm tired of hearing that. I have been as clear as I can be. Under the reform I've proposed, if you like your doctor you keep your doctor. If you like your health care plan, you keep your health care plan. These folks need to stop scaring everybody, you know?" --Barack Obama And we're tired of you and your lies.

What he said then: "My commitment is to make sure that we have universal healthcare for all Americans by the end of my first term as president. ... I would hope that we could set up a system that allows those who can go through their employer to access a federal system or a state pool of some sort. But I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There's going to be potentially some transition process." --Barack Obama in 2007

The Ten Obama Commandments

I read this and it really hit home. The way he acts, I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks that he really is a deity. Evidently he's not reading the polls.

I. Thou shalt have no God in America, except for me. For we are no longer a Christian nation and, after all, I am the chosen One. (And like God, I do not have a birth certificate.)

II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, unless it is my face carved on Mt. Rushmore.

III. Thou shalt not utter my middle name in vain (or in public). Only I can say Barack Hussein Obama.

IV. Remember tax day, April 15th, to keep it holy.

V. Honour thy father and thy mother until they are too old and sick to care for. They will cost our public-funded health-care system too much money.

VI. Thou shalt not kill, unless you have an unwanted, unborn baby. For it would be an abomination to punish your daughter with a baby.

VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery if you are conservative or a Republican. Liberals and Democrats are hereby forgiven for all of their infidelity and immorality, but the careers of conservatives will be forever destroyed.

VIII. Thou shalt not steal, until you've been elected to public office. Only then is it acceptable to take money from hard-working, successful citizens and give it to those who do not work, illegal immigrants, or those who do not have the motivation to better their own lives.

IX. Thou shalt not discriminate against thy neighbor unless they are conservative, Caucasian, or Christian.

X. Thou shalt not covet because it is simply unnecessary. I will place such a heavy tax burden on those that have achieved the American Dream that, by the end of my term as President, nobody will have any wealth or material goods left for you to covet.

I'm speechless...

I know it doesn't happen often.

I'm not even sure how to react to this...I don't know if this guy is totally awesome or completely off his rocker.

You decide.

What a Fiasco!!!

Here is an article from Dick Morris' web site explaining further the damage that Bamster's so-called health care plan would do.

It is importaint to contact Evan Bayh as soon as possible and tell him to vote NO on this debacle.

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann 07.17.2009

In two weeks, Obama’s health care plan is likely to become law, ending medicine as we know it in the United States! Unless we can stop him, our own personal access to medical care will be attenuated (no matter if we can pay for it ourselves) and we will all be subject to bureaucratic rationing.

Seeing his popularity draining away rapidly, President Obama has cynically decided to ram through the complex health care legislation in two weeks, without debate or amendment. He is going to give up the attempt to win sixty votes in the Senate and will use the budget reconciliation procedure - which is only used for budget bills - to push it through with fifty votes.

His plan would:

• Force employers either to offer health insurance to their employees or pay a tax of 8% of their payrolls. This would apply to all with payrolls of $250,000 a year or more (basically every business)

• Reduce medical fees to the Medicare Schedule Plus 5%, driving doctors out of the profession and increasing the need for rationing.

• Raise taxes on all making more than $250,000 a year ($350,000 for a couple) with a surcharge. Rates will go as high as 45%.

• Set up a government owned health care plan to compete with private plans. Getting a subsidy, it will soon put the private plans out of business and we will have a single payer Canadian style system.

In Catastrophe, we enumerate the disaster of the Canadian health care system. A cancer death rate 16% higher than in the US. A colon cancer rate 25% higher due to waits for colonoscopies and a death rate once afflicted that is 41% as opposed to 32% in the US. An eight week wait for cancer radiation therapy.

We are organizing a media campaign to target swing state Senators to delay or kill the Obama bill. We will concentrate on:

Montana - Baucus and Tester

North Dakota - Dorgan and Conrad

South Dakota - Johnson

Nebraska - Nelson

Arkansas - Pryor and Lincoln

Louisiana - Landrieu

North Carolina - Hagan

Indiana - Bayh

Connecticut - Lieberman

Maine - Snow and Collins

The text of the ad will be:

“How can Obama care for fifty million new people without more doctors? By cutting access to care for the elderly. End Medicare as we know it. The government decides who gets hip, knee, or heart surgery. Eight month wait for colonoscopies. In Canada, an eight week wait for cancer radiation. Say no to Obama’s plan. Write Senator Evan Bayh today so you can still see your doctor tomorrow.”

"THE ONE"

This was sent to me by a reader and a dear friend of mine. I don't know who wrote it, so the only credit I can give is,"GREAT JOB."
This is dedicated to all of the Bamster Kool-aid drinkers that still don't 'get it'.

How's this for apocalyptic literature? This was written in biblical prose, as a commentary on current events.

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of
the land called America , having lost their morals, their initiative,
and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme
Leader that person known as "The One". He emerged from the vapors
with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people
telling them, "I am sent to save you. My lack of experience, my
questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil
doers are of no consequence. For I shall save you with Hope and
Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who
preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he
has built must be destroyed." And the people rejoiced, for even
though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had promised that it
was good; and they believed. And "The One" said "We live in the
greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!"
And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Change is good!"

Then He said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats." And the
people said "Sock it to them!" "And redistribute their wealth." And
the people said, "Show us the money!"

And then He said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for
everybody" And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're
going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??" And "The One"
ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked and
publicized. One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?" And
she was banished from the kingdom!

Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and
having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with
radical terrorists?" And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with
them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and
they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!" And the
people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our
weapons into free cars for the people!"

Then "The One" said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And
one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes." So "The
One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats
pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Show us the money!"

Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you
sell your homes!" And the people yawned and the slumping housing
market collapsed.
And He said, "I shall mandate employer- funded health care for
EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every
person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the
clinics." And the people said, "Give me some of that!"

Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs
overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"

Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and
electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is
dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part
about higher electric rates." So "The One" said, "Not to worry.. If
your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you
out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!"

Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted.
Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free
lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed
housing....." And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs
and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers.
Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank
like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was
destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people
were without a means of support.

Then "The One" said, "I am the "The One" - The Messiah - and I'm
here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will
have enough!" But our foreign trading partners said unto Him, "Wait
a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will
have to pay more..." And the people said, "Wait a minute. That is
unfair!!" And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic
programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and
a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"

And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But
yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon "The One" and spat
upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty
nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance
or shelter or hope. And the Change "The One" had given them was as
like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that
consumed all that they had built. And the people beat their chests
in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our
pride and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland was no
more.

You may think this is a fairy tale, but it's not. It's happening
RIGHT NOW !!!

25. Nominated a liberal and bigoted judge for the Supreme Court.
26. Openly supported a wanna-be Honduran dictator when he tried to over stay his term.
God help us all!

"Those who stand for nothing fall for anything."

No truer words were never spoken. This is a quote from one of our forefathers, Alexander Hamilton.

Whether in the realm of our faith, our lifestyle, our politics or whatever, we either have to take a stand or we will, as Ephesians 4:14 says, "...be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;" I have spoken about this in past blogs in relationship to politics, so now let me tackle the issue from the standpoint of Faith.

Sadly, I am seeing too many people, even Christians, who are no longer willing to take a stand on much of anything. It is definitely the harder road. It's the one that Jesus took and it cost Him his life. Having a spine might cost us ours, who knows. It is easier to see things in shades of grey because you can make everybody happy, and after all isn't that what life is all about? Shouldn't we want EVERYONE to be our friend? Don't we want EVERYONE to like us? I'm so thankful that Jesus didn't see it that way. If He would have, his death would not have been necessary.

Jesus saw things in black and white. Sin=black, righteousness=white. While, because of his love and grace and death on the cross, we no longer have to pay for those sins, sin is still sin and it must be paid for by someone. Those that have yet to allow Christ to live in them will still have to pay for their own sin for all eternity. Those that have accepted His grace and forgiveness will live with Him in Glory for all eternity...Period...it really is no more complicated than that. Sadly, we as Christians have many times, decided to take the easy road. I have heard excuses like, "We don't want to offend anyone", and "We don't want to scare them to Christ", "Building relationships is more important". While I agree that building relationships is VERY importaint, it should be one that is based on honesty.

Say what you will, and make all of the excuses you want to, but the bottom line is this: We need to love people enough to be honest with them. We need to care about them deeply enough that we should be willing to risk a relationship to tell them the whole truth. That's what Jesus did! We need to tell them about a God who loved them enough to send His Son to take our sins upon Himself and pay for them with His life. We need to tell them that their life here on earth will be fuller and richer for having Him dwell in their heart, and how much more difficult it will be to handle the trials that come our way without Him. But we also need to tell them about eternity. Either a life in Heaven with Him, or eternal Darkness without Him, and with Satan and his minions. Anything less is deceitful.

I was asked a while back, "Don't you think they already know [about Heaven and Hell]?" I don't know if they do or don't, but quite frankly, I'm not about to gamble their soul on it. I'm glad that most parents don't raise their children that way. Should we just assume that they know right from wrong and what the outcome of their bad decisions are going to be? If that's the case, why bother to raise them?

It is difficult enough when we have to be criticised by the world, but all too often we Conservatives also have to take some arrows from our own as well. The way I see it, it's OK if they are angry, then I know they have heard what was said and it must have struck a chord. What they do with it is between them and their God. I will continue to pray that God will speak to their hearts so that others will know and understand the fullness of a life and (and death) in Christ.

For those of you that don't know...

I want to start by saying that this is the woman that has loved me for over thirty years.

She is everything that a man could ever hope for or dream of. She just recently hit the big 5-0, but as you can plainly see she didn't hit it very hard.

Here are some things I love about Sherry in no particular order:
She is a GREAT cook.
She is drop-dead beautiful.
She lets me ride my motorcycle.
She is a snappy dresser and keeps up with the fashions.
She loves music.
She is a fantastic mother and gramma.
She smells good.
She keeps a tidy house.
She is frugal.
She has lots of friends.
She is a great actor and director.
She plays piano.
She makes sure I take my medicine.
She let me keep our second cat, Carl when I brought him home.
She cleaned up after him when he got sick.
She cleans up after me when I get sick. (and even when I'm not)
She lets me buy weapons.
She loves Jesus.
And even though we have been through some tough times, usually because I get stupid, she has stood by me through thick and thin, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health and will for as long as we live.

I married way above me, and I'm so thankful to the Lord for the blessing he has given me in my wife.

I love you Baby.

A word from the wise...

"Ludwig Von Mises, that great economist, once noted: 'People must fight for something they want to achieve, not simply reject an evil.' Well, the conservative movement remains in the ascendancy because we have a bold, forward-looking agenda. No longer can it be said that conservatives are just anti-Communist. We are, and proudly so, but we are also the keepers of the flame of liberty. And as such, we believe that America should be a source of support, both moral and material, for all those on God's Earth who struggle for freedom. Our cause is their cause, whether it be in Nicaragua, Afghanistan, or Angola. When I came back from Iceland I said -- and I meant it -- American foreign policy is not simply focused on the prevention of war but the expansion of freedom. Modern conservatism is an active, not a reactive philosophy. It's not just in opposition to those vices that debase character and community, but affirms values that are at the heart of civilization." --Ronald Reagan

In God we trust...

Where have I been for the last couple of weeks? I'm getting your e-mails and it's nice to be missed, thank you.

Quite frankly, I've been too disgusted with all things political to even know what to write about. Let's see:
>Cap(tax) and trade passing the House even with the Capitol switchboard being jammed with callers opposing it.
>Al Franken stealing the Minnesota election and giving Congress a super majority.
>The U.S. being taken from a Super Power to an international laughing stock because of the lack of backbone from our so-called Commander-in-Grief.
>A conservative governor being caught in an affair and refusing to step down.
>Our president affirming a Honduran leader who chose to ignore their constitutional term limits and try to become a dictator...(now why would he support that???)
>Our Constitution and our freedoms being chipped away at on a daily basis as the Cult followers (some of them even Christians) continue to blindly drink the kool-aid this traitor in the White house is serving, and they still think he is the greatest thing since the second coming.

I have thought a lot about the possibility of, at some point, having to fight another Revolutionary War all over again, this time it would not be against an outside power, but our own government. In spite of everything though, I am still encouraged by the spirit of the American Patriot. Even though we seem to be the minority right now and are getting shouted down by the louder voices on the left and by our state-run media, I am impressed by those who refuse to be discouraged and are willing to stand firm and fight. Count me in, I've been calling the capitol and I've even had a couple of chances to speak directly to our representatives to let them know how I feel. The Internet is a powerful tool and I have been using that as well. I speak to people individually as well, especially those that are blinded by the charisma of this President and cannot see him for who he really is. And above all, I pray, because "If God be for us who can be against us."

I was inspired today, by a full page ad in the paper put in by Hobby Lobby. Their owners are Christians AND Patriots. These are quotes by our founding fathers about how this nation was founded on Godly principles and our Christian Heritage. I have decided to do better about putting their quotes in this blog more often. They said it much better than I could ever hope to.

America's fatal attraction

I hope I don't get in trouble for reprinting this, but EVERYONE needs to read it. While I can take or leave Rush Limbaugh, I am a HUGE fan of his brother David and you will see why. I don't like to put blogs in that are this long normally, but this HAS to be re-printed in it's entirety. I have italicised some parts that I find interesting. Please take the time to read the whole thing, then drop me an e-mail and tell me what you think.

America's Fatal Attraction
By David Limbaugh

Tuesday, 16 June 2009
Excuse my mastery of the obvious, but I have to believe the greatest obstacle to America's return to policy sanity is the electorate's cultish adoration of Barack Obama.

If it weren't for this disturbing phenomenon -- not to discount a healthy dose of blind partisanship -- it is inconceivable that the majority of people would tolerate Obama's dismantling of America's free market system, his returning America to a pre-9/11 mindset against terrorists, his increasing usurpations of power, and his corrupt ties and practices, from the public funding of ACORN to the summary dismissal of the case against the Black Panthers to his firing of inspector general Gerald Walpin apparently for uncovering corruption by Obama's friends.

I don't quite understand how people, especially religious people, can place their trust for salvation in a fellow mortal, but history shows they do, and present-day America shows they are. From MSNBC's Chris Matthews' admitting Obama sends a thrill up his leg to audience members' fainting at his speeches to young girls' kissing his statue like brainless bookends, the trend continues unabated.

Even some not entranced by his supposed charisma are indirectly affected by it, evidenced by their unbounded willingness to give him the benefit of every doubt. They are impervious to his narcissism, indifferent to his megalomaniacal pursuit of power, ceaselessly forgiving of his childish scapegoating of the previous administration, and oblivious to his extremism.

The mainstream media are his biggest institutional enablers, drooling over his every utterance, irrespective of his many contradictions, his assaults on the Constitution and our liberties, and his spate of broken promises.

"So what?" you say. "The MSM are ends-justify-the-means liberals who believe exactly as he does. Of course they ignore his unprecedented expansions of government, his deceit in furtherance of accomplishing a radical liberal agenda of which they approve, his opportunistic breaches of promises, and his nose thumbing at the Constitution."

True, but there's more to it than that. The media's fixation with Obama transcends their shared ideology, and I'm not just referring to Evan Thomas' deification of Obama. Did you see the CNSNews.com interview of Chris Matthews (sorry to bring him up again)? I knew he was a Kool-Aid drinker, but this was embarrassing.

When the correspondent asked Matthews whether Obama still sends a thrill up his leg, he replied: "I have a feeling about my country. When he talked about it, I was inspired."

Then came the scary part. Asked whether the press should give Obama more scrutiny, he said: "I think we have to question the numbers . the amount of money that's been printed and the size of the deficits and the addition to the debt, and that's pretty scary. These are huge numbers. We're going to have a debt by the end of the first term that's equal to our entire economy. Think about that. That has to be paid off . (with) tremendous costs to the taxpayer. . It's scary."

The long quote is helpful to illustrate that Matthews fully appreciates -- intellectually -- the danger to America's solvency that Obama's policies represent. Despite that, he added this non sequitur: "I love my country, and he talks about my country . in a way that inspires me, and he thrilled me. I'm very proud of that. . I mean it. . I hope it continues."

So Matthews is scared that Obama is spending the country he says he loves into bankruptcy but hopes he keeps talking in a way that inspires him. Can this be explained rationally?

Of course not. But that's the point. Cultish attraction destroys logic, reason and sound judgment.
Nor can rational thought explain the serial applauses from Obama's American Medical Association audience as he told them he is going to place the square peg of socialized medicine into the round hole of improving quality and decreasing costs -- all without diminishing patient choice or physician authority.

Then consider the American Jewish community, which still overwhelmingly supports Obama despite his egregious displays of disrespect toward Israel, its history, its moral position and its fundamental right to national defense. And there are large segments of the Christian community -- Catholic and evangelical -- that either lie to themselves about Obama's depraved, militant position in supporting even partial-birth abortion or compartmentalize it into artificial irrelevance.

And how about rank-and-file Democrats who consider themselves fiscally conservative? Partisan loyalties notwithstanding, how can they sit by idly as they watch Obama's spending horror show unfold? How can they delude themselves into believing this obscene and insane spending -- guaranteed to financially, and maybe politically, enslave our children -- can ever be justified?

At some point, the spell will dissipate. The question is whether that will happen in time to prevent irreversible damage to this nation.

You gotta be kidding...

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama’s Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God."

Sadly, there are many, that feel the same way. The way Bammer talks, he may even be convinced of it himself.

I guess they're NOT kidding...

Re-run...hope you don't mind...

I had a talk with a very dear brother in Christ today. He was telling me that he had a conversation with someone in our church who voted for 'Bama and thought that my blog was hateful.

Please allow me to clarify that I do not hate our President or even Liberals in general. I have no respect for their positions, but I do not hate them. In many ways I feel especially sorry for the Christians who thought they were doing the right thing by voting for him. I would have hoped that they would have known better, but this guy is a smooth talker and on the surface, he seems to say the right things. It's when you watch what he does and find out what his true beliefs are that you can see him for who he really is...a charlatan.

I have decided to re-run a blog from last November that attempts to explain why it is difficult for me to see how someone can support Bamster and his Liberal agenda and still call yourself a follower of Christ.

Thoughts about Christianity and Liberalism....

Isn't this what you've always wanted?
Isn't this how you've saw the view?
Careful what you wish for,It just might come true.
Isn't this what you've always pictured?
Isn't this what you plan to do?
Careful what you wish for,
It just might come true...

I've had a few of those moments in my life. What I wished for came around and knocked me flat.

I would like to address an issue that seems to be very prevalent at the moment. Is it possible for a Christian to be a Democrat? My answer would be, that, I suppose so, but my question would be WHY???? If we are truly to be an image of Jesus, why would we have the thought process of a Liberal? They have many issues that clearly undermine the values that Jesus teaches, but here are my 'Big Three."

Unfortunately, in my opinion, they have gotten sucked into the dangerous vortex of "compassionate politics." They genuinely have compassion for the down and out, and the have nots. Jesus did too. Where in the scriptures does it say that it is the government's duty to provide for the poor and needy? (hint: nowhere...) Who's job is it? The church...the band of believers that Christ put together to show the world His love. If that's the case, how did the government get involved to begin with? The church dropped the ball and somebody saw the opportunity to gain some political clout and power by pretending to be the caregiver of the poor and downtrodden. The only way for the government to have anything to give, is to take it forcibly from someone else who has earned it. Do the math, there are far more people who are not rich than those that are. You don't need to be rich to vote, so if you want to stay in power, pander to those who will keep you there! Promise them anything and give them just enough to give them hope, but not enough to change their situation and they will keep you in power. It's not about compassion at all...it's about power. Charles Barkley said that "for 50 years poor people have been voting Democrat and they are still poor." If the Dems actually brought people out of poverty, that would eliminate their voting base.

What about the issue of abortion? How can any thinking, caring, Christ-centered person possibly believe that Jesus would ever condone tearing a child out of his mothers womb and grinding them up in a garbage disposal? Is that really what He would want? I am certainly all about a mother's right to choose. There are choices available; Adoption, raising the child, and the biggest choice of all CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE SEX UNTIL YOU ARE MARRIED!!! I can't picture Jesus telling anyone that one of the choices would be to kill the baby.

How about the so-called "gay rights" issues? Gay rights? The Word is VERY clear on this issue, not once, but MANY times. You have people like Jay Bakker espousing the belief that it was all metaphorical, and that that's not REALLY what the Bible means. I have friends and relatives who are caught up in this lifestyle and I love them anyway, but make no mistake when I say that they should not be legislated any 'special' rights. God's word is clear that he designed sex to be expressed between a man and woman who are joined together in marriage.

As I stated above, there are many issues that the Liberals espouse; bigger government, higher taxes, weaker defense, soft on crime, radical environmentalism, free everything for everybody, etc,etc... but for these three alone, I cannot understand why any Christ-centered person would embrace the Democratic party. I'm not saying that the Republicans have all of the answers either. In fact they have been a huge disappointment over the last few years as they have drifted away from the core values of less government, lower taxes, and fewer hand-outs. That's why I choose to call myself a Follower of Christ first and then a Conservative. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it?

Doublespeak

For the most part, I try to post quotes by Patriots as sort of a rallying cry to get us thinking on the same page, and remind us that we are not in this battle alone. However, sometimes I will post one from an anti-patriot just to remind us what we are up against.
Here's one I just came across:

"I have studied the Constitution as a student; I have taught it as a teacher; I have been bound by it as a lawyer and legislator. I took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution as commander in chief, and as a citizen, I know that we must never -- ever -- turn our back on its enduring principles for expedience sake." --Barack Obama

This, coming from one who has turned his back not only on our constitution, but our economy, free enterprise, our Christian heritage and standards, our national defense, our future generations, our military and our very way of life.
He will gladly trade all of these for a good photo-op to feed his enormous ego and a good rating in the polls.

He also said:
"...the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf."

Yes it does...In a nutshell, it basically says that we are to be a self-governing people who are free to persue our worship of God, our interests and goals within the framework of the law. What the state and federal governments must do on our behalf is mainly to LEAVE US ALONE.

I think the Bamster should have studied a little harder...

'nuff said...

I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be president some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were president what would be the first thing you would do?"

She replied, "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."

Her parents beamed.

"Wow... what a worthy goal." I told her, "But you don't have to wait until you're president to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where homeless guys hang out, and you can give them the $50, you earned, to use toward food and a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

Her parents still aren't speaking to me.

Gone, but never forgotten...

"[T]hose who have never broken free from the mentality of tax-and-tax and spend-and-spend still think increasing taxes is the best way to solve America's problems. ... We need a tax policy that offers incentives for people to work, save, and invest -- all the things that will keep our economy growing and improve our well being. We need a basic tax reform that will permit us to bring everybody's tax rates down. ... Our country needs leadership that can see beyond the demands of the special interest groups and prepare America for a better tomorrow."

Good friend, good memories...

This morning I had the privilege of spending time with a dear friend that I had not seen in a long time...too long...way too long. When we saw each other, we hugged and just hung on. The years suddenly melted away and we wondered why it took so long for this reunion to happen.

His name is Mike Beam and we hung out in High School many years ago. We played music together, cruised Plymouth together, worked together at W T Grant unloading trucks and shining floors. We had a crush on the same girl, and we spent a lot of time just being together and hanging out.

Right now he is a dad, a grampa, and soon-to-be husband again. He has been with the same company for many years and is a 6th or 7th degree black belt and an instructor in various forms of the martial arts. (6 or 7 degrees??? Does it really matter? He was probably more deadly than a Howitzer a few degrees back!)

More important than anything is that he loves Jesus and trusts his life to Him.
What a rich and wonderful time we had this morning sharing and getting caught up.
I'm so proud of his accomplishments and am looking forward to a renewed relationship.

Love ya Bro...

No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth.

What's wrong with this picture...?

This was sent to me by another one of my readers and my buddy, Verne.
Keep 'em coming folks, it's only by exposing the hypocracy and lies of this administration that we will be able to get those Bamsterites to see the light...

Recently Michelle Obama went to serve food to the homeless at a government funded soup kitchen .

Cost of a bowl of soup at homeless shelter $0.00 dollars

Having Michelle Obama Serve you your soup $0.00 dollars

A homeless person who is receiving a government funded meal while taking a picture of the first lady using his $500 Black Berry cell phone $$$$ Priceless

Not to mention yet ANOTHER photo op. ti

This was sent to me by my buddy Steve. I can't figure out why he thought I would find it amusing...Maybe because he KNOWS me!

An archiological team digging in Washington, DC, has uncovered 10,000 year old bones and fossil remains of what is beleved to be the first Democrat.

Don't ever say it can't get worse...

Well, once again I find myself in the awkward position of sarcastically thanking those that voted Comrade Bamster onto office. With the appointment of Sotomayor, you have contributed once again to the degradation of our Constitution (that Bamster says is a flawed document anyway), the equal distribution (confiscation) of the income that we work so hard for, and the flinging open of our boarders for a full invasion of illegals to drain our social resources and take the few jobs that are left. This racist activist will be appointed as a Supreme Court judge and by her own admission and without apology will set policy from the bench even if it is against the Constitution and the will of the people.

This just in from Worldnet Daily:
As President Obama's Supreme Court nominee comes under heavy fire for allegedly being a "racist," Judge Sonia Sotomayor is listed as a member of the National Council of La Raza, a group that's promoted driver's licenses for illegal aliens, amnesty programs, and no immigration law enforcement by local and state police.

According the American Bar Association, Sotomayor is a member of the NCLR, which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S.

Meaning "the Race," La Raza also has connections to groups that advocate the separation of several southwestern states from the rest of America.

Over the past two days, Sotomayor has been heavily criticized for her racially charged statement: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

The remark was actually made during a 2001 speech at the University of California's Berkeley School of Law. The lecture was published the following year in the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal.

"Imagine a judicial nominee said 'my experience as a white man makes me better than a latina woman,'" blogged former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga. "Wouldn't they have to withdraw? New racism is no better than old racism. A white man racist nominee would be forced to withdraw. Latina woman racist should also withdraw."

Radio's Rush Limbaugh noted, "And the libs of course say that minorities cannot be racists because they don't have the power to implement their racism. Well, those days are gone because reverse racists certainly do have the power to implement their power. Obama is the greatest living example of a reverse racist, and now he's appointed one. ..."

But others are suggesting Sotomayor's racial views will have little impact on her confirmation to the bench.

The NCLR is applauding Obama for his selection of Sotomayor.

"Today is a monumental day for Latinos. Finally, we see ourselves represented on the highest court in the land," said Janet Murguia, NCLR's president and CEO.

La Raza also praised former President George W. Bush for nominating Alberto Gonzales to succeed John Ashcroft as attorney general.

(Hmmm... Don't give me that crap...He was a good man and the Libs fought his nomination tooth and nail, not to mention filibustering the Miguel Estrada nomination for DC's court, so was it REALLY about having a Latino in high office??? I think not... TI)

As WND previously reported, La Raza was condemned in 2006 by former U.S. Rep. Charles Norwood, R-Ga., as a radical "pro-illegal immigration lobbying organization that supports racist groups calling for the secession of the western United States as a Hispanic-only homeland."

What if the tables were turned...?

A friend of mine sent this to me. I don't know who wrote it,but it illustrates the double standard that exists from the liberal left and the media that sits in their lap.

I might add another one of my own;
If a Republican appointed a judicial nominee that openly admitted that policy should be set by the Supreme Court, they would not even be up for consideration and would the Dems accuse the Right of trying to "fix" the court?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Tony Blair a set of inexpensive and useless (to Tony Blair's UK video formatting) DVDs, when Tony Blair had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?

Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 10 weeks -- so you'll have three years and nine-and-a-half months to come up with an answer.

Things just get more and more stupid in Washington. I just can't believe how gullible these 'Bamster followers are...It seems like the more he takes the more these people are willing to hand over. He now owns two car manufacturers, and will force us to buy over-priced, tiny little death traps once his cafe' standards are railroaded through congress. He also now owns countless banks and lending institutions, and after the Fed bales out California and New York he'll own two states as well. He's paying for all of this with Monopoly money that we will have to make good later, and all the while his minions are falling at his feet and worshipping the very ground that his feet touch. There is something dangerously wrong with this picture.

It will be interesting to see how this power struggle within the Democratic party plays out. It seems to me that Bammer is just letting Nancy hang herself and even though there are even a few Dems who seem to not like what he's doing, they are too scared to say anything that might get him to turn on them. They probably have that comment about him "being the only thing standing between them and the pitchforks" that he threatened the banking industry with.

This guy is clearly an egocentric maniac who cares about nothing other than his own popularity. I hope that Steele was right yesterday when he said that the honeymoon is over. It's time for a good knock-down drag-out fight.

The post turtle

A doctor struck up a conversation with a hard-working 75 year old rancher while suturing a mean cut on the old man's leathery hand. Eventually the topic got around to Obama.

The old rancher said, "Well, you know, Obama is a 'post turtle.'"

Unfamiliar with the term, the doctor asked him what he meant.

The old rancher replied, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle.'"

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued: "You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of complete moron put him up there to begin with."

I've wondered the same thing...

Who would have thought...

I wasn't going to blog about this, but it would probably be a bit weird if I didn't.

Who would have thought...
That Notre Dame would invite a pro-abortion president to speak at commencement.
That they would also honor him with an honorary law degree.
That there would be pro-life protesters picketing ND.
That there would be pro-life protesters ARRESTED at ND.
That there would even be a need to do so.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. Ever since Jenkins has taken the reigns, Notre Dame has begun to look less and less Catholic and more like any state school you can think of. Booze and drugs free-flowing all over the campus. Productions such as the "Vagina Monologues" being encouraged and allowed. Gays and Lesbians having their own on-campus organization that is blessed by the school. Liberal professors who are allowed to spew their garbage all over the classrooms without fear of reprisal by the board or chancellor.

I read in the paper those that were defending ND's downward slide by saying that there should always be a platform for the free-flowing ideas in every university, including this one. I would agree...to a point. And that point is when the free flow clashes with the mission of the school, which should be (and used to be) to educate these kids in the teachings of the Faith and make sure that when they graduate, they are not only smarter, but closer to God.

Sadly, ND is following in the paths of Harvard, Yale, Duke, and countless others who started as doctrinally sound universities and fell by the wayside in favor of being politically correct.

Do I think that Randall Terry and company are going a bit too far? Maybe a little, but mostly no. If you were standing and watching someone take a toddler by the hand and lead her into a building where you knew she would be killed, what would you do to stop it? Would you just stand and do nothing and hope the adult changes their mind? Would you stand there and pray? Would you run up and beg and plead with the adult who was leading the child to stop? Would you try to physically wrest the child away? Would you defend the child with deadly force?

These are all options, obviously some are better than others, but all are options none the less. I think that every person must decide where they stand in the continuum. These folks have decided, and I support them.

Shame, shame on old Notre Dame.
