Good friend, good memories...

This morning I had the privilege of spending time with a dear friend that I had not seen in a long time...too long...way too long. When we saw each other, we hugged and just hung on. The years suddenly melted away and we wondered why it took so long for this reunion to happen.

His name is Mike Beam and we hung out in High School many years ago. We played music together, cruised Plymouth together, worked together at W T Grant unloading trucks and shining floors. We had a crush on the same girl, and we spent a lot of time just being together and hanging out.

Right now he is a dad, a grampa, and soon-to-be husband again. He has been with the same company for many years and is a 6th or 7th degree black belt and an instructor in various forms of the martial arts. (6 or 7 degrees??? Does it really matter? He was probably more deadly than a Howitzer a few degrees back!)

More important than anything is that he loves Jesus and trusts his life to Him.
What a rich and wonderful time we had this morning sharing and getting caught up.
I'm so proud of his accomplishments and am looking forward to a renewed relationship.
