Now it all makes sense...

A friend sent this to me and this SO applies to my cat Newman (pictured here in all his princely glory)...

My cat sleeps about 20 hours a day. He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365. His meals are provided at no cost to him. He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him. He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep. If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep. He receives these accommodations absolutely free. He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head: My cat must be a democrat! (or a British citizen)

Didn't they used to call this the "shell game"?

Bammer's shell game consists of providing a "summit" (diversion) complete with cameras and media to try and give the impression that everything is now up front and above board in this health care debacle that he and his Marxist comrades in his administration and House and Congress have conjured up. While this supposedly "bipartisan" dog and pony show is going on, this is what is really happening behind the curtain:

In comments reported by Congress Daily, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s top health care aide Wendell Primus admitted top Democrats have already decided on the strategy to pass the Senate's pro-abortion, government-run health care bill.

"Primus explained that the Senate will use the controversial reconciliation strategy that will have the House approve the Senate bill and both the House and Senate okaying changes to the bill that the Senate will sign off on by preventing Republicans from filibustering.

“'The trick in all of this is that the president would have to sign the Senate bill first, then the reconciliation bill second, and the reconciliation bill would trump the Senate bill,' Primus said at the National Health Policy Conference hosted by Academy Health and Health Affairs.

“'There's a certain skill, there's a trick, but I think we'll get it done,' he said."

A "trick" he said? The Republicans have already brought to the table the ideas of tort reform, being able to purchase insurance across state lines to encourage competition, giving the states more rights in deciding their own programs, etc...etc...

Democrats said the Republican proposals would do little to solve the crisis in health care. The proposals are “as skimpy as a hospital gown,” said Representative Lloyd Doggett, Democrat of Texas.

First of all it is clear from all the polling that is being done, most people feel that health care is not in crisis mode. It may need a tune-up but certainly not an overhaul. The proposals are indeed skimpy for a reason. GOVERNMENT DOES NOT NEED TO BE IN CONTROL!!! That is why most of what the Republicans have suggested so far have been ignored.

It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out in the coming weeks and months. Libs have to know that this bill is going to be political suicide for some of their members. They must feel that, like in military strategy, you are going to have a calculated number of casualties for every battle won, and that they can take some hits in November and still remain in control. They also are banking on the short memories and liquid spines of the Independent voters and figure that if they can get this passed early in the year, people will forget all about it by the end of the year. Not only that but I'm sure they are counting on the economy improving at least marginally this summer so that they can take credit for it (even though the few jobs they have created so far have cost the tax payers about $400,000 apiece by the latest estimates).

Once again, my thanks to all of you Bammer Kool-aid drinkers who brought us this mess with your votes. There are millions of us Patriots who tried to warn you last November about this crooked and arrogant Chicago-thug politician, but you wouldn't listen and voted for him because he was a cute novelty.
